I have watched Jack Doyle perform in only two Broadway shows; when he played Ewart Dunlop, singing lead in the barbershop quartet in The Music Man and before that, in The Will Rogers Follies. But he has worked with many of the celebrated talents of the entertainment industry,
including Ginger Rogers, Mickey Rooney, Tommy Tune, Sandy Duncan, Cy Coleman, Comden & Green, Charles Strouse, John Raitt, Keith Carradine, Eartha Kitt, Eric McCormack, Megan Mullally, Kristin Chenoweth, Jerry Zaks, and Susan Stroman. On Broadway, he recently appeared in the original company of Young Frankenstein . National Tours include Doctor Dolittle, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Crazy for You, and Funny Girl. Other NY credits include City Center Encores! productions of Bye Bye Birdie, Face the Music, and Music in the Air, Off-Broadway productions of Destry Rides Again, Tomfoolery, and New Faces of 1952. Regionally, Jack has played Rooster in Annie, Enoch Snow in Carousel, Claude Upson in Mame, and Amos Bellomy in The Fantasticks. |
